Carburettor heater

Continuing (still) the quest for the solution to my Burgman's cold weather starting problem, I've discovered a reference, buried deep in the workshop manual, to a carburettor (sp?) heater. It's supposed to warm the fuel mixture to aid vaporisation

carburettor help needed urgently
