Ive been thinking recently is it safer to wear your back protector for racing as well as the cheap back protectors that are already in your leathers or is this more dangerous than just wearing one or the other?Ive been wearing my knox protector

I know the recommended life for a helmet is 3-5 years. However there would appear to be no information on how long a back protector is expected to last before the performance requires exchange. Like all plastics and foams they become brittle

My leathers don't have a space to insert a back protector so I need to wear a strap-on one.I bought a cheapo £30 one from the NEC show last year, but it's so uncomfortable I end up never wearing it. It's like having an ironing board on my back
