Service at 10,000 miles or one year, whichever comes first

I am picking up a 2003 Golf 4 TDi on the weekend, it has 44,000 on the clock and was serviced at 39,000 about 15 months ago. They recommed a service every 10K or 1 year, should I have it serviced ? I think servicing something according to mileage

those that go today...maybe my access weekend won't fall on the same day this time next year ? Bribery always works well I think, try that. When I was that age it wasn't a case of getting me on it was more of a problem getting me off 10 years is old
