ferries?

I am off to the isle of wight next weekend with a bunch of mates and the only reservation i have is the ferry crossing! A/ i dont do boats very well, feel sick in the bath. B/ they dont appear to tether ya bikes down. has any one traveled this way

Undercover and i are booked on the 7 am crossing on friday from dover to calais on the Pride Of Aquatian are there any VD mebers also booked on that ferry,if so we could meet up in the bar?

Anyone know the name of the pub right at the entrance to the Portsmouth ferry terminal?Cheers The big pub on the roundabout is called the Sovereign..is that the one you meant?Other nearby pubs are the Admiral Drake and the Air Balloon.. From memory

how long before a ferry sails do you have to be there sailing at 04.15 to Ireland but have to drive 4-5 hrs first.Cheers.......... I would aim to be there at least 2 hours before departure. Don't do what I did and come hurtling into Stranraer only

Has anyone out there done the Swansea/Cork or Fishguard/Rosslare ferries during the summer, and if so could they offer some general tips regarding ease of boarding/storage conditions/likelihood of bike getting whacked during the crossing, etc

thinking of taking the bike to Chamonix next year in france. I do not realy want to drive through england for reasons i will not state (probably better kept to my self ). however i think there is a ferry crossing which goes direct from scotland
