Cut off unexpected,

fan and a whistle for a second then it cuts out,Went brought new fan,cleaned it all free dust, would work fine at first laying on floor with side of case off,put it back and stood it up ,got the whistle cuts out again, Baffled,Can any one help

What would happen if I'm doing 80mph on the freeway and I happen to engage my Engine cut off switch? Presumably I would go flying over the handlebars? Was just thinking about it on the run this morning - it's close enough to engage in an emergency
