carb question

what is this bit on a carb for
brass pipe on the side of the carb. Its about 10mm long and 2mm in diameter, with a tiny hole drilled in the side. When I turn on the fuel tap, petrol pours from the hole in the pip. Anyone know what this pipe is for and why its there? and most

hiya everybody just a quick question ive got a zxr750h2 the throtle slides on my carbs are warn,to the point theyre rattling to replace them all your looking on spending £330 but heres the question ive been offered the carbs of the 1993 L1 theyre

Found it's problem, but...
My bike seems to rev really high and will not tick over.The idle speed adjuster is a screwand if you wind it in flush with it's home, the part of the carb that is surposed to meet it does not meet it. it is about 2-3mm away is this normal

Mikuni Carbs

Anyone know if there is much of a difference between the mikuni HS40 and the TM40 carbs??? Your help is appreciated. I thought they were the same model carb, HS40 might be the Harley fitment model?Have ya seen this site?

Cleaning carbs

Any tips for cleaning a pair of YPVS carbs? I've had several suggestions - soak them in coca cola, cellulose thinners, boil them in a saucepan of water with washing powder in it.Any other tried and tested methods?Cheers what about using carb
