Bud Ekins dies, aged 77

Stunt rider from The Great Escape passes away in L.A.
Great Escape', including the scene where Ekins jumps over a barbed-wire fence. The stunt probably rates as the most well-known motorcycle action scene in movie history.Ekins is survived by two daughters, a sister, a brother and two granddaughters.
