Ever since Yamaha unveiled a prototype V4-engiend bike at the Tokyo motorshow in 2005 the hype around the new Vmax has been building. There was little doubt it was on its way, Yamaha even gauged public reaction with two websites, one called nextvmax

2010 Yamaha V-Max - now available in red

No changes for the 2010 V-Max, except for the obvious new colour
Yamaha have relased images of the 2010 V-Max and the only difference is that it's available in red. Oh, that and we expect there's going to be a hike in price - although we've had no official word from Yamaha UK - the V-Max has been selling well

In 1985 Yamaha launched an unashamed brute of a bike. Born on the drag strip the V-Max was a mass of metal and chrome which instantly drew a cult following. Now, 23 years on, does the old master still command any respect?
