Used Review: Yamaha TDM 850-900
By Bertie Simmonds on 05/04/2008 22:28:24
Always a massive seller in Europe but an underrated under-achiever in the UK. Nevertheless, the TDM in all its forms is a secret waiting to be discovered by the second-hand buyer.
YAMAHA'S TDM850 FIRST raised its bug-eyed head in 1991. The mix of goggle-eyed looks, Delatbox frame, tall, town friendly stance and punchy parallel twin motor seemed perfect for the city and Britain's back roads. The TDM850 was Europe's second

Who are everywhere right now. Nope, these Arctic Monkeys are our brave idiots who rode three unsuitable motorcycles to Switzerland. To do the Cresta Run. Eh?
legs and a healthy range, so to not fit one is a nonsense. Our third bike, the Yamaha TDM 900, is fitted with a fuel gauge and it's more all-rounder than mile cruncher, so feel ashamed Honda. It's an odd bike, the TDM. Europeans love 'em, but it's never

By Visordown News on 01/11/2011 15:57:40
Yamaha cut £1400 off the TDM
.Take Yamaha's TDM900. Even when it was launched in 2001 it was little more than an update of its predecessor, the TDM850, and it's never been a massive draw in showrooms despite being a more than capable all-rounder.Back then, superbikes were everything and a

By Jon Urry on 14/09/2010 09:26:14
They may not be the best looking bikes out there, but is there more than meets the eye when it comes to these presentationally-challenged secondhand bikes?
. Although they won’t look as pretty…Next up is Yamaha’s workhorse TDM900, a much-maligned bike with a reputation for dullness. Those looks, with a strong hint of a startled fish about them, don’t help it. At just short of £3,000 this bike seems a bargain
