By Niall Mackenzie on 02/04/2008 11:15:27
First out of the blocks for 2007 and hoping to stay there, Yamaha's new R1 looks the goods. But is it? Who better to say than Niall Mackenzie, ex-GP god turned mortal.

Living with a 2003 BMW R1150RT
By Johnny Daukes on 12/11/2003 15:44:14
No-one in the Visordown office knows who Johnny Daukes is, but presumably he's a relation of Simon Daukes from Haymarket days. Nepotism?
, although the max speed I've seen is 120. Closed roads, of course, officer. Getting down from those speeds is easy thanks to that front brake lever. BMW's servo assisted brakes are excellent, although I rarely touch the rear. I still believe BM's rear brakes

By Ben Cope on 26/03/2013 13:45:50
At a freezing-cold Donington where even the mighty Ron Haslam struggled to get heat in the tyres, we ride Honda's revised Supersport offering. In between mugs of hot tea.

Colditz

It's every officer's duty to escape. So our four battle-weary soldiers slipped the confines of Blighty for the freedom of Germany's autobahns to stretch the legs of four very fast bikes
mistake, otherwise it gets boring - and bikes are supposed to be anything but. It won't let you do anything it doesn't want you to do, which to many isn't a bad thing I suppose. Also the brakes are crap - they're strong, but I hate the all-or-nothing servo

New colour for 2011 Honda VFR1200F ABS
By Visordown News on 05/10/2010 09:58:56
No tweaks, just a new colour for Honda's V4 sports tourer
to the rider’s and pillion’s feet, the high-volume, twin outlet high-chrome muffler produces an unobtrusive but fantastically stirring note. At low revs the noise is off-beat and bass-rich. Further up the rev range, once the servo-operated valve is opened

Road Test: Trailies

One night on earth...after 1500 miles on the open road. "James, the wine please... and what's with the stupid hat?"
's carrying. But the servo brakes keep threatening to catch me out. The fierce initial bite and lack of feel is disturbing (for someone who hasn't ridden a bike for a while) and lead to some wobbles, especially when slowing to a stop. Not good with such a tall
