2010 Honda VFR1200 European launch road test
By Tim Skilton on 11/06/2010 09:12:17
Honda has a lot riding on this one. With dwindling 1000cc supersports sales and an increase in the sports-tourer market, the VFR1200F is arguably the company’s most important new bike for a decade
for engine reliability and performance.Rain pain in SpainSo, here we are in not-so-sunny Southern Spain for the European launch of the VFR1200F. Honda has planned a 200-mile route for us to test the new machine: 60 miles of motorway, around 80 miles of fast A-roads

KTM 690 Duke Vs. Kawasaki ER-6n road test
By Jon Urry on 26/04/2010 15:54:16
The KTM690 Duke and Kawasaki’s ER-6n have plummeted out of the ugly tree, clattering every branch along the way. is that all?
One man’s beauty is another man’s toad, or some such proverb is often quoted when referring to a visually challenged offspring. Usually behind the proud parent’s backs. To their faces expressions such as ‘he has his mother’s eyes’ which translates to ‘he has dad’s double chin and...

2010 Suzuki GSX1250FA road test review
By Tim Skilton on 10/08/2010 11:24:19
A new big sports tourer from the nice people at Suzuki. It’s like a Bandit ,but rest assured: in no way, shape or form is this a Bandit. It’s a GSX1250FA alright? A GSX1250FA. Got it?
at it once in the whole 120-mile ride.Like the existing 1250, the FA’s armed with a height-adjustable seat, with 20mm of play available. My bike was on the lowest setting (805mm), which meant I was able to plant my boots almost flat on Spanish tarmac

By Chris Moss on 19/04/2008 21:59:15
It might be called progress by some. But in a world where more and more motorcycles are becoming increasingly refined and civilised, others might feel the traditional character of bikes is being lost.

Road Test: Yamaha FZS600 V FZS1000
By Chris Moss on 19/04/2008 21:52:25
Looking at buying either a 600 or 1000 Fazer but can't make your mind up? Do the running and retail costs of the 1000 put it in a different league to its little budget brother? All that and more inside. Lovely.
all those qualities in financial context there's one clear winner. But which one is it?On the face of it the 600 looks likely. It can be yours for just £5,299, a massive £2,800 cheaper than the 1,000cc version which commands a heady £8,099. But don

Road Test: GSX-R 750 vs. Crescent GSX-R 750
By Warren Pole, Niall Mackenzie on 20/04/2008 21:32:42
It's Suzuki against Suzuki as the standard GSX-R750 meets its Nemesis - the Crescent Suzuki BSB GSX-R750 Special. And boy is it special...
not only is power up (we'll come to that in a minute) weight, and especially unsprung weight is well down. Unsprung weight falls thanks to the Marchesini GP magnesium wheels (£1,300 per pair), and AP calipers and discs (£1,116 for the front set-up, £150

Road Test: DL1000 V-Strom vs. Tiger vs. TDM900
By Alex Hearn on 20/04/2008 22:23:21
The face of motorcycling may be changing...
's been second only to Honda's VFR800 in the 750-1,000cc sales arena. Triumph joined the field with the first version of their Tiger in 1994 and Suzuki have just, for 2002, livened up the harvest with the V-Strom. And don't forget next year Ducati
