Buell 1125CR - Road test review
By Ben Cope on 12/10/2009 17:00:50
If we bought motorbikes using our head alone, Buell would be out of business. Will the 1125CR help Buell onwards and upwards?
, humans would have evolved to suit his handlebar design, but as yet, we haven’t.So in town, the 1125CR scores some good points, so I pointed it in the direction of Dorset and clicked up a 150-mile blast to Lyme Regis to see what it thought of the fast A-roads

Ducati Streetfighter 848 road test review
By Ben Cope on 10/10/2011 10:29:06
Ducati's baby Streetfighter. Smiles like your Nan, punches like a pub doorman
.Fresh from the session on track we headed out for a 60-mile road ride around the hills next to the town of Modena - home of Ferrari - no doubt the locals are used to the sound of a V12 howling through the countryside. I wonder whether they've heard the V20

Michelin Anakee 3 review
By Ben Cope on 07/04/2013 16:38:11
We test out the successor tyres to the Anakee II and ask: if we pretend to go off-road, don't we end up riding on pretend off-road tyres?
.Michelin have set the Anakee 3 up with a bias of 90% road and 10% off-road. If Adventure-style motorcycle owners were honest, they'd admit that 99.9% of their time is spent on road, not off-road. Michelin are wise to this and that's reflecting in the bias

2009 BMW F800R first ride review
By Ben Cope on 09/04/2010 12:39:55
BMW continue their rapid expansion with the F800R. With a specification to rival Triumph’s mighty Street Triple, the twin-cylinder BM looks set to lead from the front
-beating performance at a competitive price, BMW say the 800R’s been two years in the making. Despite displacing 798cc, the engine doesn’t make as much power as its smaller capacity middleweight rivals. That said it does produce more torque and, on the road

I'm still undecided about the looks, but I like the package...
I just picked up this new Z1000 from Kawasaki HQ as we're doing a back to back test on it tomorrow for the next issue of the mag.I was never sure about the looks from the press images and seeing it in the flesh, it looks bulky and a bit cumbersome

2012 Kawasaki ZZR1400 review
By Ben Cope on 20/01/2012 14:05:08
Does faster always mean better? We ride the new ZZR1400 to find out
and actual weight, it feels more nimble than you'd think it had any right to be. It might surprise you to know that the bike wasn't extensively developed on a high-speed ring, instead most of its development was on country roads with a bit of autobahn testing
