Learning Losail on a ZX-10R, the Riba way
By Ben Cope on 24/11/2010 10:07:24
Losail's easy. If you know it like the back of your hand..
slower early sessions that give me crucial pointers that add up to a few tenths off here and there. However, Losail was different. On the plane, the other journos who had been there before were talking about how difficult Losail is to learn. So before

By Ben Cope on 16/12/2010 10:38:23
If Kawasaki's traction control worked like my GoPro, I'd be in hospital right now..
die as you're leaving pit lane or you record a perfect lap, but with the camera pointing at the sky, or the tank. Doh!So this is an example of a GoPro working well, onboard the 2011 Kawasaki ZX-10R at Losail circuit in Qatar. Shame about the riding

First Ride: 2011 Kawasaki ZX-10R
By Ben Cope on 22/11/2010 12:51:53
Kawasaki's all-new ZX-10R is bursting with technology. But is it better than BMW's S1000RR?

By Ben Cope on 21/04/2011 15:52:31
It's the tyre of the moment and they're now in for a regular taste of 180bhp
licence, it was raining so hard I had to avoid a couple of swans on the racing line..I'd only really tried the traction control on dry tracks: Losail, Qatar and Cartagena, Spain so I was really interested to know how it would cope on a wet circuit

Technically speaking: Kawasaki S-KTRC
By Ben Cope on 24/11/2010 16:53:43
Traction control has come a long way in just a few short years. S-KTRC is the most advanced yet seen on a road-going bike. So what's it all about?
Kawasaki's S-KTRC is a leap on from other traction control systems, especially Kawasaki's original KTRC. So what makes it so good?I rode the new ZX-10R with S-KTRC at the Losail circuit in Qatar on the world launch. Before we went out on track we

By Ben Cope on 20/03/2012 15:58:48
The BT-016 Pro replacement aims to deliver more grip and better wet weather performance. So does it live up to the challenge?
of a pasting for the BT-016, it was the tyre the 2011 ZX-10R came on, a bike I've run for a year and I replaced them at the first opportunity. After riding the bike at Losail, Qatar on its world launch on Bridgestone's BT-003 RS tyres, the BT-016 didn

By Ben Cope & Robin Goodwin on 09/01/2012 11:50:43
What it would look like if we were in charge
it needs a bit of a mix-up. If Robin and I were in charge at Dorna, then this would be what the revised 2012 MotoGP calendar would look like. We've started the season by replacing Losail, Qatar with Istanbul, Turkey. The night thing has lost its shine
