First shakedown at Brands
At the end of last season when Rick Hackett agreed to fettle my 848, I'm not sure he was prepared for the huge influx of riders to the championship in 2012. Up from around 20 to 35 - quite a few of them dumped their bike up at JHP late in the day

Shafted shafts and selective selectors
My real worry was that the gearbox had lunched itself after my highside. The rear wheel wasn't moving, even with the clutch in. The less costly option was that the selector fork arm had taken a knock as a result of the shaft hitting the deck. Turns out, on this occasion, my luck ...

Checking I won't have any fork'n trouble at Brands..
Nigel and Rick at JHP have been hard at work stripping back the 848. First off were the forks, which took a knock in my highside but fortunately aren't bent, but the right-hand fork seal is leaking so both are going to be stripped and rebuilt
