Kings of the Hill
By Warren Pole on 22/06/2009 10:45:41
Ducati's Hypermotard goes toe-to-toe with KTM and Buell through the vicious twists and turns of a Championship hill-climb event in Wiltshire
"Are you the blokes coming from the bike magazine?" asked the guy next to us as we parked up in the paddock. Damn. He'd seen straight through our clueless expressions, our brand new road legal bikes masquerading as hill-climb racers and our bungling

Icon - Peter Purves
By Warren Pole on 28/10/2010 15:32:01
A legend. Peter Purves has been in tons of cult TV shows and a stable of British television in Blue Peter and anchoring the Crufts dog show, but it is his role as the face of Kickstart for its entire 13-series run that we find Mr Purves here as an icon
job.It wasn't all plain sailing with the White Helmets though as by his own admission Peter spent "more time on the floor than anything else", on one occasion riding into a tank trap hidden behind a large hill. "I'd only been there an hour or so

Sidecarcross - Guaranteed Danger
By Warren Pole on 19/10/2010 10:21:20
Sidecar cross is Ben Hur minus the horses. Just add fearsome 100bhp 750cc two-strokes instead. Surely the best chance to lose Wozza forever?

Road Test: BMW K1200R
By Warren Pole on 27/04/2008 21:48:52

The Breakfast Run
By Warren Pole on 29/11/2010 14:50:39
Wozza gets a rude awakening when he joins up for a (very) early morning run
motorcycles at all hours of the day, all days of the week, and in order to get to all manner of dining engagements, the last thing I've ever really fancied doing on a weekend off is getting up at dawn to ride into the hills in search of tea and sausages

Road Test: F650 v TE610 v DR-Z400S v XT660R
By Warren Pole on 14/10/2010 22:56:36
Can the latest crop of dual-purpose on/off-roaders really hack it in the rough stuff? Team Visordown dons its goggles and has a trail of a time finding out. Let's soft road!
be the equivalent of the ridiculous four-by-fours favoured by posh mums for taking little Tarquin to prep school. After all, the three-mile run into Primrose Hill is terribly tough these days and an 18-geared, armour-plated gas guzzling tank with 'roo bars really

By Warren 'Wozza' Pole on 28/10/2002 15:06:21
US Flat-tracking is changing its image and producing the next generation of future MotoGP and WSB racers. No longer looking like extras from the set of Deliverance, these new flat-trackers are cool kids with modern gear and a whole new attitude...
