First Ride: 2002 Suzuki GSX-R600
By Visordown on 12/07/2002 10:24:46
I like this bike. We all like this bike. The GSX-R600 has stood for one thing only since it was first launched in 1997 – sports performance
-minded and a deep joy to ride on the road or racetrack.“What’s to be said about the GSX-R600 that hasn’t been said already?” said Niall. Saying stuff that had already been said. “Just so capable, we knew it was going to be somewhere up the front. Loads

First Ride: 2011 Suzuki GSX-R600
By Mark Forsyth on 17/12/2010 11:00:17
Can Suzuki revitalize the competitive supersport category with the all-new GSX-R600? Mark Forsyth does some laps of Almeria to find out
Well, the fug of excitement has now lifted. The sweaty leathers are packed away in the kit bag and I’m just about to have a shower and grab some grub. I’ve done five, twenty minute sessions on the 2011 GSX-R600 and this is my verdict.600s aren

First Ride: 2006 Suzuki GSX-R600 review
By Niall Mackenzie on 13/05/2008 23:05:44
More power, less weight, and all wrapped in a GSX-R1000 looky-likey form. It's bound to kick butt on-track - but can it deliver on the road?
I WAS PLEASED when I heard my first ride on the 2006 GSX-R600 would be on the road only - French roads, in fact - instead of the more usual track-based sportsbike launch. All new supersport bikes have impressive engine performance, plus they corner

Living with excess: 2006 Suzuki GSX-R750
By John Hogan on 28/03/2010 10:03:49
Special excess: the UK's best-seller
's best-selling motorcycle bar none. Worldwide, 670,000 people have bought GSX-R750s since the 1985 launch, but I was five years old at the time and can't really remember it. I can remember the first time the 750 had an effect on my life though. When I

First Ride: 2006 Suzuki GSR 600
By Admin on 16/11/2005 16:12:11
Launch report written by freelance journo Bertie Simmonds
. But the Suzuki GSR has the heart from the GSX-R600, which makes him a bit of Dr Jeckyl and Mr Hyde kinda guy. So from midnight on the tacho - around 10,500rpm - is where Mr Hyde comes out to play, bursting towards a guessed peak power of around 90bhp at about 12

First Ride: Suzuki GSX-R750 K6 review
By James Whitham on 17/09/2010 12:04:12
Suzuki's legendary headbanging 750 gets a few tweaks for 2006. Is it still the thinking man's superbike?
been compressed somehow, but it really isn't so long ago since the best sports bikes were of 750cc capacity. From the launch of the first GSXR 750 in '85, to the launch of the first credible large capacity sports bike in Honda's Fireblade in '92, 750cc

Road Test: Suzuki GSX-R1000K5
By Niall Mackenzie on 24/04/2008 21:05:24
Probably lighter, certainly faster, but is it any better? Definitely. Niall Mackenzie rides the new GSX-R1000 at Eastern Creek.
, but it gives you an idea just how small the new GSX-R1000 is. To look at you would be forgiven for mistaking it for a 600; it really is incredibly small for a 1000cc machine.Resting on its sidestand in the pit lane at Australia's Eastern Creek circuit

First Ride: 2002 Honda CBR600F
By Visordown on 12/07/2002 09:52:54
Since the dawn of time - well, since the dawn of modern sports 600s - the CBR600 has sat there on or near the top of the pile, like a very old and wise stegosaurus that's beaten off the velociraptors and sits there, gently chewing the cud
to race tuning without actually being tuned very much. Of the two, it's the F-model that sells. The Sport version (£300 more) doesn't really register on the sales richter scale. Read into that what you will.As such, every time you ride a CBR600 you come

First Ride: 2002 Kawasaki ZX-6R 636
By Visordown on 12/07/2002 09:38:30
Make it bigger and better is the order of pedigree. In 2001 Kawasaki, despite the fact that their bike was probably the oldest on the grid, won the World Supersport Championship - as vindications go, it doesn't get much better than that really!
be Number One. I got off it after the GSX-R600 at Cadwell and it was right up there with the Suzuki for track manners, yet 10 minutes later you could be riding on the road at whatever pace you liked, in control and in total comfort. The 36cc extra it carries
