By Niall Mackenzie on 28/09/2010 14:41:26
It might be light and peppy to start off with but the fun quickly dries up once you get started.
Click to read: KTM Duke II owners reviews, KTM Duke II specs and to see the KTM Duke II image gallery. The best road-going supermoto for most people. Light and peppy enough to be genuine fun but not a barking, service-every-300-miles, kick

CCM RM30, KTM 520EXC, KTM Duke II, VOR 503SM
By Stuart Barker on 19/04/2008 22:10:19
Chris Walker's used to sliding bikes but this is out of control. As he flashes into view, out of the forest behind, there's a violent, rasping bark from his KTM's carbon can as the bike slews sideways.
The slide throws up a fountain of shingle which fills the photographer's bag but he stands his ground. This is too good to miss.Walker tries undoing the knot he's made in his motorcycle but he's rapidly heading towards the parked up CCM R30, with Niall Mac on it. Mackenzie was ...

Living with a 2001 KTM Duke II
By Niall Mackenzie on 26/05/2002 14:02:00
Our Spuds lives life with KTM's crazy supermoto
canny than a big-bore blasting machine. Something that would still be fun, but that wouldn't break the national speed limit in first gear.Well, the KTM Duke II fitted the bill perfectly, and Streetbike motorcycles kindly dropped my new steed off for me

A Duke II riders perspective the KTM 950SM
By MTR on 19/03/2007 21:23:36
A born again bikers viewpoint on riding the KTM 950SM
.It is considerably more motorcycle than my Duke II and the 690, in that it feels substantial (read heavy) but it was easy to ride. What would be good would be to have the power and torque of the LC8 engine in the 690 frame, then that would suit my personal abilities

A Duke II riders perspective on riding the KTM 690
By MTR on 19/03/2007 20:42:10
A born again biker's viewpoint on the KTM 690SM
. It felt at first as though I was sitting too far back, but it was an illusion, and I suppose it will help shield your knees from some of the wind-chill. The next thing was how much less engine vibration there was compared to my Duke II, and the next most

A Duke II riders perspective on riding the KTM 990
By MTR on 19/03/2007 21:23:41
A born again bikers viewpoint on the MY07 KTM 990 Superduke
right. The only other downside I now feel is that without a doubt I would love to own the 990 Superduke and the 950 SM and the 690SM and my Duke II. It would be like having a different mistress for differing moods. They are all rewarding to ride

By Jamie Whitham on 06/11/2008 14:39:57
Jamie Whitham puts the new KTM 690 SMc through its paces and delivers his verdict
of this new family is the 690 Duke. The original Duke was ground-breaking when it appeared in 1994 and its successor, the Duke II, continued to be a key model for the Austrian firm. But, like Major Steve Austin after he crashed his spaceship, the new Duke has

Living with a 2003 KTM 450 EXC
By Niall Mackenzie on 12/06/2003 14:52:06
Our Niall gets down and dirty with the KTM 450 EXC
in Brackley. Having enjoyed living with my Duke II over the past 18 months, I badgered KTM and TWO to replace her with the 450 EXC after drooling over one during press day at last year's NEC show. Road legal, very capable off road and electric start for when

The World's most expensive bike for sale
By Visordown News on 16/05/2011 14:58:53
Only half a million quid
Conceived during the years of World War II, the Porcupine was originally designed with forced induction in mind. Supercharged multi-cylinder engines had begun to threaten the single’s supremacy towards the end of the 1930s and, indeed, AJS themselves went down
