Used Test: Suzuki GSX-R600 review
By Chris Moss on 13/09/2010 11:16:54
Fashion may have consigned the GSX-R600 to history with its now dated bulbous looks, but it is still an utter ripper of a bike, and a bargain at that
consider it money well spent. There's no doubt that the GSX-R looks a bit dated these days. Its shapes and lines didn't alter much since it was launched in 1997. But underneath that fairly big and bulky architecture lies a more than very capable banzai

First Ride: 2004 BMW R1200C Montauk
By Mark Shippey on 05/11/2003 11:49:08
Named after a town in New York State, the new R1200 C Montauk boasts more chrome and retro styling than a fifties diner. But it's also BMW's most successful foray into the cruiser market to date
to the rear.Suspension is paramount to cruiser comfort. The front Telelever and 150mm wide front tyre give good road stability up to 80mph. Anything over this becomes a little worrisome as the Montauk felt affected by side winds and turbulence from vehicles

First Ride: 2002 Kawasaki ZZ-R1200
By Alex Hearn on 29/03/2008 18:59:37
I think it's fair to say the old ZZ-R1100 was more than a bit past its sell by date. I last rode one about three years ago, on a flat out European speed mission in the company of a Suzuki Hayabusa and Honda Blackbird.
Compared to both - especially the Busa - it felt gutless in the midrange, and was only just a match for the Blackbird up top. And when I say up top, I mean wire tight in sixth gear - irrelevant in the UK but very relevant when you're racing yer mates abroad (er, yeah...). Roll on...

First Ride: 2013 Triumph Tiger Sport
By Ben Cope on 13/02/2013 22:58:07
Triumph's heavily revised Tiger has gained 10bhp, more torque and a single-sided swingarm but it's the things you don't see that count
WHEN I first heard about the Tiger Sport I thought it was going to be a faster, lighter and more agile Triumph Tiger. Still cuddly but with added bite; a Tiger with more GRR.It's not quite that simple.Forget the 'Sport' name for a moment. This is a meticulous update to one of Tri...

BMW R1200GS Adventure vs. Moscow
By Jon Urry on 29/11/2010 13:36:29
Behind the Iron Curtain with only a BMW R1200GS Adventure for company, Comrade Urry sets out to explore a rapidly changing Moscow
and driving licence. I'm scared.Another officer writes something down. It says '60kph', which I assume is the speed limit, '120kph', my speed, and '100 Euros'.I take out the money but the policeman won't accept it. He's pointing down the road and getting

By Tom Higham on 31/05/2011 21:04:46
For the first time on a sports 125, Aprilia now have a bike that features a four-stroke engine
Since 1993, more than 100,000 RS 125 two stroke bikes have been manufactured around the world. Aprilia are still making this legendary learner legal for the foreseeable future, but with 2-strokes sadly dying a slow death they need a four stroke solution. Their answer? The brand n...

What The Press Say: Honda Crosstourer reviews
By Visordown on 18/02/2012 14:22:37
The British press rate Honda's new 1200cc V4-engined adventure bike
’s excellent for multi-lane mile-munching, it’s brilliant on sweeping biking roads, even tight ones, and will comfortably handle the odd unmade track. Possible downsides are the weight, the anonymous looks and the 21.5litre tank with a disappointing 150-mile

What The Press Say: Ducati 1199 Panigale reviews
By Visordown on 12/02/2012 10:24:41
The verdict from the motorcycle press on Ducati's revolutionary new superbike, the 1199 Panigale
the electronic fitted as standard to the S model we tested, it’s a lightweight 195bhp toy box – a blood red trackday sledgehammer.” Michael Neeves, Motorcycle News – Wednesday 15 February 2012“I’d love to spend more time on the Panigale. It’ll do 15,000 miles

First Ride: 2005 Honda CRF450R - CRF250R
By Niall Mackenzie on 30/03/2008 22:29:28
Niall gives Honda's '05 model CRF450 and 250 'crossers a muddy run for their money.
ago. This is reflected in the ride as it feels the lightest handling of all the 450s I have ridden to date. Compared to the Suzuki RM-Z450, everything seems to be happening a lot quicker, and having less mid-range and five gears makes you feel like you

Used Test: Kawasaki ZRX1100
By Chris Moss on 14/09/2010 13:33:34
The ZRX1100's retro styling absolutely rocks...And it's got a flexible and powerful motor, boasts sporty handling and is a bit of a bargain to boot
is nothing of the sort. All those 'dated' bits are deliberate design features to give the impression it's a bit of a classic. But the ZRX is in fact just a few years old - with enough modern day features and performance to back up its recent vintage
