A Duke II riders perspective the KTM 950SM
By MTR on 19/03/2007 21:23:36
A born again bikers viewpoint on riding the KTM 950SM
compared to my Duke, I suspect due to the longer travel front forks fitted. The turn in felt similar to my Duke, and the weight of the bike becomes more noticeable, but I didn't get the same level of confidence as I did with the 690, and couldn't totally

A Duke II riders perspective on riding the KTM 690
By MTR on 19/03/2007 20:42:10
A born again biker's viewpoint on the KTM 690SM
, the brakes were a little keener, the composure of the chassis/handling is definitely good, as I have only recently returned to biking after a 27 year lay off and my competence and confidence levels are in my opinion, a bit lacking, yet I was able to remove

A Duke II riders perspective on riding the KTM 990

A born again bikers viewpoint on the MY07 KTM 990 Superduke
didn't feel best suited for such a tight continual type of corner, it inspired confidence enough to allow me to do it.I almost removed it on the left side, but my open left handers I like to use were extremely windy today and it was difficult riding

Why do OAPs get offered cheap insurance?
By Admin on 05/06/2006 18:28:41
OAP plus car equals accident catalyst
coming the other way, so abort the overtake. Fucks sake, Jo Brand could fit through that gap.Instead of going round the Royal Mail van she hit the anchors. Not happy with this, I do a life saver and plan to go round granny green. But no, her confidence

By Midge#53 on 05/10/2006 12:43:26
Our pet racer, Midge gives us the latest report from Brands
't have been if there had been a clear track. Ho hum.I was real confident for the race, but morning warm up was a half wet track with a new rear tyre to run in so I did a few slow laps and a half quick one, not pushing too much and was 5th fastest

By SIVARTTRX850 on 21/05/2007 22:14:29
An account of my first clubman enduro race
five minutes to the tight lap felt good but my confidence was knocked when I over heard tales of speed during refuelling. All that was left now was to bring myself home, I decided that smoothness was the answer. I'd done it, my first comfortable ride

By Midge#53 on 27/07/2006 21:25:00
Visordown Racer, Midge Smarts checks in with his latest race report
After how things went at Knockhill I was pretty confident for Oulton, although It didn't go so good the first time we went there. Went out in practice and didn't do anything special, struggled a bit with lines and braking points, but equalled my

Midge Smart: R6 Cup Oulton race report
By Midge#53 on 08/05/2007 15:37:02
Visordown's Midge Smart fights hard at Oulton Park
missing out on the win by 0.042 seconds. About half a bike length. Another solid result, and great for my confidence as I've been on the podium at every race bar one. Having not stood on the top step on a 600, I'm aiming to be at Snetterton in two weeks

Could you? Would you? Should you?
By Diablo on 07/11/2006 14:12:30
A trackday virgin review....
to breathe!! So, I signed up to the IAM, which has helped my riding enormously, and last year gave me the confidence to sign up to a Cadwell park track day with Rapid training. Unfortunately for me the courage left me on the day proper and I didn't dare go

My first time on a track

Racing newbie takes to Donington Park
task of turning me from 'wanabee' to 'racer' in an afternoon. I must admit he looked at me in that 'oh no' confidence inspiring way that all new trainees must feel, but soon put us at our ease by telling us that if we fell off our day was over. Great
