First ride: Sunshine and Bimotas at Brands Hatch
By Mark Forsyth on 24/05/2010 12:15:26
Visordown day out at the Kent circuit with a batch of gorgeous Italian motorcycles
than enough power to really shrink a lap of Brands Indy circuit. Compared to the air-cooled two valve motor in the Tesi which felt wheezy and taxed, the Testastretta 1098 engine makes you recalibrate your brain to cope with the increased velocity as you

2010 Honda VFR1200F world launch test
By Mark Forsyth on 04/06/2010 12:34:57
One of motorcycling’s worst kept secrets - Honda’s top-secret VFR1200F. Visordown were among the chosen few to ride it at the Sugo circuit in Japan
A race circuit seemed like a strange place to launch a 265kg bike with a 1545mm wheelbase but the spec sometimes only tells part of the story. The VFR1200F feels noticeably smaller than a Pan Euro and fractionally bigger than a VFR800. Its pork

By mark forsyth on 13/08/2010 21:50:53
Day One part two
.Having being issued with table number 13 for breakfast (it’s Friday the 13th) we made a very gentle beeline for the race circuit at Dundrod. I say circuit. It’s just a rough rural b-road with a few straw bales dotted around. I liked the metal-pole field fencing

Kevin Wheatcroft tells it like it is...
credit, Mr ‘Wheatfield’ didn’t do anything other than correct his PR man’s glaring mistake.“Wheatcroft’Kevin Wheatcroft, son of the late Tom, (not Wheatfield) is a petrol head though and through and was clearly delighted to see his family’s circuit back

Triumph riding experience
By Mark Forsyth on 26/04/2010 17:10:30
Mr Forsyth samples a day of track riding and tuition on a Triumph 675
yourself with the bikes, the new track (Silverstone’s Stowe circuit in this case) and the levels of grip. Then there’s the ingeniously simple figure of eight cone course which you complete in first gear. This is a really effective way for riders to appraise

Sugo: Great racetrack, awful kahzis
By Mark Forsyth on 22/10/2009 09:37:39
Visordown's man in Japan continues his synopsis of oriental dunnies
sphincter valeting, it’s a grounding experience to discover that race circuit facilities (Motor Sport Vision excepted) are as bad the World over.I mean, will you look at this? A glorified porcelain hole in the floor that invites the user to squat like a dog
