Niall's Spin: Suzuki Bandit 1200S
By Niall Mackenzie on 28/09/2010 15:05:38
Brilliant? Affordable? No better choice than the Bandit 1200.
retro without having to disappear for a few decades. And it hasn't gone away because it's still a brilliant, affordable bike.It won't handle as sharply as, say, a CB1300 but it will talk to you so you can still ride hard without getting into trouble

First Ride: 2002 Kawasaki ZX-6R 636
By Visordown on 12/07/2002 09:38:30
Make it bigger and better is the order of pedigree. In 2001 Kawasaki, despite the fact that their bike was probably the oldest on the grid, won the World Supersport Championship - as vindications go, it doesn't get much better than that really!
notes (from his level down to mine) get a good impression of the Kawasaki, and how much better (if anything) 36cc's makes over its lower cubed competitors."It's the most surprising one for me," says Niall after his first ride of the new Kawasaki

First Ride: Ducati 749S review
By Jon Urry on 14/09/2010 16:50:28
Ducati's tweaked baby supersport twin gets a new kick in the pants and better suspension for 2004
.But the Ducati 749S makes this kind of behaviour almost compulsory, it is just so easy and confidence inspiring to ride on a track. And it also leans over further than any bike has a right to do on standard tyres. So what's the secret behind it? Well it's four

First Ride: 2011 Kawasaki ZX-10R
By Ben Cope on 22/11/2010 12:51:53
Kawasaki's all-new ZX-10R is bursting with technology. But is it better than BMW's S1000RR?
the benefit of what is arguably the best bit of technology on the new ZX-10R; S- KTRC. Traction control to you and me.Click here for the Kawasaki ZX-10R first ride review page 2/2.

First Ride: 2005 Aprilia Tuono R
By mossy on 31/07/2004 23:37:46
Some would say there was nothing wrong with the old Tuono R, so is the new one better?
of the most invigorating bikes you can ride on the market. And no matter what sort of mood you're in when you first put the key in, you'll always be laughing your face off after just a few minutes after slinging your leg over it. If you're not, then you must

2012 Kawasaki ZZR1400 review
By Ben Cope on 20/01/2012 14:05:08
Does faster always mean better? We ride the new ZZR1400 to find out
and actual weight, it feels more nimble than you'd think it had any right to be. It might surprise you to know that the bike wasn't extensively developed on a high-speed ring, instead most of its development was on country roads with a bit of autobahn testing

First Ride: Honda Goldwing
By Tony Middlehurst & Krys Freeman on 19/10/2010 10:27:23
Former Superbike magazine editor Tony Middlehurst takes his better half on a journey across the Lakes
weight is carried low, but there’s no getting away from the sheer amount of it. It gives you kicks in unexpected places, like on the motorway. The barndoor acreage of a two-up Wing on a breezy day adds spice and involuntary nervous giggling to any ride

First Ride: 2002 Kawasaki ZX-9R
By John Cantlie on 29/03/2008 16:54:04
And so to the 2002 ZX-9R, also tweaked for this year and feeling distinctly healthier for it. The motor feels the same, but the handling (once adjusted) is definitely better...
wanted something less mental and more useable on the road. Not to say it ain't fast. The Nine has always topped-out north of 170, and the latest model will be knocking on the door of 180mph in the right conditions. We only got to ride the bike on the track

Road Test: Suzuki GSX-R1000K5
By Niall Mackenzie on 24/04/2008 21:05:24
Probably lighter, certainly faster, but is it any better? Definitely. Niall Mackenzie rides the new GSX-R1000 at Eastern Creek.
, the first thing that catches your eye is the chunky silencer. There have been a lot of comments about this and, while it isn't at the top of my list of favourite exhausts, I've got to say anything is better than the standard aluminium dustbin that bikes

Road Test: Honda CRF450X
By John Cantlie on 27/04/2008 22:39:12
With wheelie-happy monsters like Honda's new CRF450X, never has there been a better reason to get stuck in the mud.
Anyone who knows anything about off-road bikes knows Honda's CRF450 motocrosser is horrifically fast and entirely frightening to ride. Two laps of a track on one is enough to pump your forearms solid and turn your legs to jelly, and the slightest
