Walking pace wheelie. Impressive
By mark forsyth on 27/07/2010 17:07:33
A quiet night at the bar

We like this - courtesy of our friends at FTWCO.Spot the two rear wheel brake calipers. Spot the proximity of passing traffic. Spot the plethora of protective clothing.Probably not a good bike to buy when it comes up on the secondhand market

A fine head of hair and sensible sweater as protection...

This vid' just in. I watched it on my own and laughed out loud. Hope you do too.Our mate Sticky who sent us this link said: ' This is Lauro - I've done a feature on him - he's proper mental, just look at the hair. The caption for the video reads "on a closed road" but it's actuall...

Live from the 2011 Suzuki GSX-R600 launch

I'm at the launch of the GSX-R in Almeria and, well, the sun's out...

it hard not to.We had a full debrief last night and the new GSX-R six may not look much different but they've been busy. Big piston front forks, Brembo monoblock calipers, engine twizzled through three degrees to allow a shorter wheelbase, wider bars

Used product showcase from Visordown

? I don’t think so. Colin it is from now on…Colin is a keenly priced cowhide race glove with plenty of pre-curve on the fingers so they’re super comfy when you’re gripping the bars. They’re one of the comfiest gloves I’ve worn in ages and I’ve worn them

The Diavel is in the detail...

but notice, the lock-stops, though.Just a piece of threaded 8mm bar with a flanged lock-nut, the threaded end of which had already battered the paint off the frame from just a couple of full-lock turns and just a few hundred miles To give them the benefit

2010 Kawasaki Versys launch test review

Dependable do-it-all gets a facelift and a suspension twaeak. Mark Forsyth rode the new version to bring you chapter and verse

the vibes but Versys owners still complained of pesky tingles getting through to the bars and pegs. A new rear rubber engine mount has sorted this out although, oddly, the left hand mirror blurs while the right hand one doesn’t. Other mods are just cosmetic

Press launches - the ugly truth. Part 3

'Absolutely no wheelies for pictures. OK?'

easy it is to change line, mid-corner, though. The Crossrunner is no lightweight on the scales but it feels light to ride. You notice this when you're about to take out five-abreast cyclists, half way round a blind bend. Big bars really help to chuck

2010 Kawasaki Versys First Ride

It's big, it's ugly but it's actually very good - says Visordown's wizened road tester

’t faze it either.Top marks for the revised screen and mirrors that give you a great view of what’s behind. But for me the best mod Kawasaki have made is the new rear rubber engine mount. The vibes now don’t find their way through the bars and pegs like

They might be giants: Triumph Tiger & Benelli Tre K
By Mark Forsyth on 29/07/2010 09:54:59
It’s a bit like meeting a TV star for the first time, they’re never quite as big as they appear on screen. Say hello to the Triumph Tiger and Benelli Tre K. They’re both big, but which is the best?

speed balance and control is amplified by the leverage from those wide bars and low footrests and the pillion gets a degree of wind protection from the rider because they’re not balanced on top, jockey-style, as absurd as most pillions look on the back

On-board laps with a K9 1000

) with uncanny accuracy. It’s bloody amazing. Apart from the rubber brake hoses. Two laps in and my lever was beginning to come back to the bars and as I’m rubbish at four fingered braking this hampered my lap a bit. Check out the clip on the video where a Suzuki
