Aprilia pull out of Moto2 class and won't be supplying any bikes to privateer teams

APRILIA HAVE announced that they won't be a part of the Moto2 class in 2010.The main reason given for the withdrawal is the required use of a Honda-built engine. However, Aprilia have known about this since May 5th and this announcement comes as a

By Ben Cope on 26/09/2009 16:53:11
For years the Tuono has been Aprilia’s best-seller. Inevitably then, here’s the V4 version

These spy shots show what is almost certainly a developmental new Aprilia Tuono based on the firm’s recent RSV4 Factory superbike engine and chassis. The bike was snapped lapping the Misano circuit, the circuit at which Aprilia launched the RSV4

COULD Aprilia be the next firm to enter the increasingly competitive market for small sports bikes – challenging the Honda CBR250R and Kawasaki Ninja 300 with its own circa-250cc machine? That’s the word on the web at the moment, and while

It's just an Aprilia RS3 Cube
By Ben Cope on 21/05/2012 15:37:53
...but I happen to think it's the coolest four-stroke GP bike, ever

I never get tired of looking at Aprilia's RS3 Cube.I don't care about the fact it was a shit-or-bust gamble by Aprilia, that tarnished their almost immaculate GP reputation - infact that makes it even cooler.No-one expected Aprilia to enter a bike

By Ben Cope on 26/06/2010 09:51:51
I dug this pic up from the archives...

I was delving around old press kits and found this Aprilia Enjoy, electric push-bicycle from 10 years ago. It had a top speed of around 20mph and a range of (probably) about 25 miles. But who cares? It looks cool and comes from a time where Aprilia

Jo Guest, Aprilia RS250: Two 90s icons
By Ben Cope on 25/11/2011 11:39:13
Two desirable objects from what seems like a lifetime ago..

Having grown up in the 90s, I suppose I'm one of the lad's mag generation and here are two icons from the same era: Jo Guest and Aprilia's RS250. If you count the Microns, then that's three ...sob!I wonder whatever happened to Jo Guest (and Micron

Triumph Speed Triple vs. Aprilia Tuono vs. Kawasaki Z1000
By Ben Cope on 20/08/2009 17:40:55
Three of the best naked bikes of recent years. And all could be yours for under £5k.

So there we were, wheeling a 2004 Kawasaki Z1000, 2004 Triumph Speed Triple (the 955i variety) and a 2007 Aprilia Tuono out of the van. And I’m stood there thinking we might as well go home because the Aprilia’s won it. It’s barely two years old

Aprilia RSV4 Isle of Man crash. Whoops
By Ben Cope on 16/06/2010 14:52:22
Umm.. it might be a superbike, but you're not Max Biaggi.

Take one Aprilia RSV4 Factory. Find corner. Gas it past local on a Fazer 600. Go too fast into corner. Remove mud and grass from 15 grand superbike's radiator. Easy.
