Niall's Spin: YZF1000R Thunderace
By Niall Mackenzie on 28/09/2010 14:54:40
Even though it never matched the best sports bikes of the day, there are plenty of good reasons why you should give it at least a test ride.

Honda CB1000R UK road test review
By Jon Urry on 04/03/2010 12:08:42
After years of trying (and failing) to make a decent streetbike has Honda finally got it right?
to the dealers dismay, that it arrived so late comes Honda’s CB1000R. When it was first shown reaction to the CB was mixed to say the least. Unfortunately, rather than the pretty white that this bike arrived in, Honda chose to unveil the bike in the drab pondweed

Visordown’s Chief road tester is former World Supersport star and all-round top chap James Whitham. MV Agusta generously allows him to sample the new F4. Is he a happy chappy? Or utterly disgusted with Agusta? Find out

First Ride: 2002 Aprilia Tuono Fighter
By John Cantlie on 29/03/2008 19:22:43
Aprilia launch the production version of their Tuono-R concept bike, the Tuono Fighter. With a Mille engine and chassis, near-on full superbike power and streetfighter styling, you just know this is going to be a bad boy.
around (note move around, not weave) at very high speeds, due to the rider being more upright. All this adds up to a highly entertaining ride that cannot fail to thrill the rider. You attack sections of road with the Tuono Fighter and it just laps it up

First Ride: Aprilla RSV-R Mille Factory review
By Bertie Simmonds on 14/09/2010 14:30:43
The Mille R is dead. It's replacement, the Mille Factory, has moved Bert to proclaim the machine to be the best Italian V-twin sportsbike on the market
...Memories are made of this. It's hard not to be rose-tinted when you're riding an Italian twin at a track like Mugello, but as I write this the memories are minty-fresh and, rose-tinted visors aside, the new Aprilia RSV1000R Factory is the best Italian V

First Ride: 2002 Honda CBR954RR Fireblade
By Niall Mackenzie on 29/03/2008 14:40:18
There are certain things you remember in life. Where you were when Kennedy was shot (I was on the potty), your first sexual experience (no comment) or when you rode your first Blade.
, smaller and more purposeful than any of the previous models. I've always felt that after the first couple of versions, the Blade has gone a little bit stale and frumpy. I mean, just compare the 2001 version to the GSX-R1000 or R1 and they don't come close

First Ride: 2002 Yamaha YZF-R6
By Visordown on 12/07/2002 10:21:49
Getting back on the R6 was like getting back on an old friend. I don't normally ride my old friends, you understand, but the R6 responds like no other to a massive session of throttle abuse
depends on who you are and how you like to ride. Personally, I love it. If you're out hunting for bigger prey down your local A-roads, or fancy embarrassing some bloke with all the gear but no idea on a GSX-R1000, then the R6 has got to be the weapon
