Take a Stone model, add panniers and a screen. Job done. Still a lazy day cruiser from Guzzi, still cheap

The Guzzi is one of the cheapest touring bikes available today. At £6694 OTR, this 1064cc V-Twin is an absolute bargain.

Shaft drive to be maintenance free, complete with panniers that are reasonably spacious and solidly built, plus a mini screen to keep some of that wind blast off your chest.

The looks may be a bit out-dated now, but Guzzi’s have a certain charm that has led to an owners club of die-hard enthusiasts being established (www.motoguzzi.it). Fuel economy is pretty decent, but the Stone does get let down by the awful gearbox that has been designed with numerous false neutrals.
