Good all round bike, such a good 600!
Lightweight, fast, stable in corners, good feedback, turns heads, still looks very modern for 11 years old, great for a short person or a tall person doesn't look too big or too small.
Standard Exhaust is quite large, to get the best out of the engine revs need to be kept quite high.
Mine is in blue/white/black, I bought this with one owner and only 1500 miles on it due to previous owners personal circumstances. I love this bike so much, it turns soo sharp and quick and is very light. Just put Metzler m5s on her and these really add to the great handling. They are very quick and very well built, hasnt missed a beat so far. I look forward to many more miles on her (currently 5000). I stepped up to this bike from a 400cc Kawasaki and i am so pleased that I found this bike. Wouldn't have anything but an r6, at least while I'm young. If In doubt, take one for a test ride and you will never look back.

Great fun at a fraction of the cost of a new middleweight.
Still fast at over ten years old, nimble, easy to set up to ones own needs. Truly love the rush my 02 model still has at the top end of the rev counter. It performs at it's best when pushing it in the corners.
A little flat in lower revs which makes town riding a bit frustrating. Not the most comfortable of middleweights, especially on bumpy roads. A lively front end when riding at a fast pace.
I have the 02 in blue and black in pretty much a stock trim and I've had is fun right from the off. It performs at it's best on track with high revs, high corner speeds and smooth surfaces! On the road the front can be very twitchy so a damper wouldn't be a bad shout and it was really easy to change little parts to suit my own riding style. The bike still looks in really good condition for it's age and on track days it can still mix it up with newer modern 600's with relative ease. Parts for the bike are also a lot cheaper than modern bikes (fairings, catch trays etc) so it would probably make a really cool track bike project.

Fantastic middleweight that stays with the current crop
Light, nimble and quick steering. Pillion postage stamp is great for solo riding.
Added Harris rearsets, double bubble screen, hyperpro steering damper, wolf Ti exhaust, factory pro 4' ignition advance and Penske rear shock. love the burble & pop on the overun.
36 mpg when pushing! still shakes it's head accelerating over rough stuff. A bitch to change plugs.
Wouldn't dare try a Euro trip without a spare spine.
Still more than a match for most. Suprises newer and bigger bikes on trackdays. Only let me down twice in 12 years, detent spring (£3.52) and dead battery. Great build quality.
