Yamaha TRX850 (1996 - 2000)

Our Review

Reviewed: by Visordown
It was an attempt to cash in on the success of European-style sports twins; introduced to Europe in 1996 the TRX850 sold steadily. The TRX850 used a new version of the TDM850 engine in a steel-tube trellis frame with sportsbike suspension and half-fairing. The parallel twin engine received an altered firing ...  Continue reading

150bhp jockeys won't understand, but this bike makes sense on the road i.e. sub 100mph, where biking requires more than a right wrist ;-). When new, supposed to compete with Duc 900ss, but less fragile and now Continue reading...

TRX

This bike is has a cult following for a reason . It really delivers in the real world . Don't let the "only" 80hp put you off , I can keep up no probs with most 1000 hyper bike riders in the twisties. It's one of these bikes where the whole package comes together very sweetly indeed. It's also a bike that is affordable for the average bloke . Had mine for 3 years and I ride it often despite have a far more powerful and high spec bike next to it . Love it to bits . A bike that will be in my garage permanently

Quirky parallel twin, the TRX850 wins a lot of friends.

It's always going to be an odd-ball but the TRX850 has character too.
