Lovely bike, particularly out of town

Plenty of usable power, looks and sounds amazing
Lack of fuel gauge (only the low fuel indicator light), the brakes aren't great
My first real bike after doing my test, 5 months and 1,000 miles in I still get the same thrill when I start it up. It's great on country roads and not bad on long motorway journeys either considering it's a sports bike.

Great fun bike

I love the way the bike handles and that for a sports bike it is so comfortable - no aches and pains at all on long rides. It makes me smile every time I ride it. I've never kept a bike so long.
I struggle to fault the bike for what it is.
A great fun bike, great handling, light, easy to ride and very comfortable for a sports bike.

Ugly duckling with the stealth of an eagle!!!!

Cheap to buy, Japanese reliability, brutally quick.
Ugly to look at compared to new stuff, brakes are not to good either, White wheels get dirty from brake dust very quick, that's a pain.
A very cheap sports bike that is Rocketship quick when you use the gearbox properly, good handling, not intimidating like 1000cc bikes but almost as quick, I have no trouble keeping up with my friends 2000 r1, easy to service and cheap to insure, I love my bike, it makes me smile every time I ride it!!!!

Superb bike, perfectly balanced, more rewarding to ride than a 1000.

Its 10 years old now and still looks great, intake roar is awesome when holding it flat out through the gearbox, handling is almost perfect, for trackdays i can't think of a better bike,i had the GSXR1000k1 after this and i ran in the fast group but the lap times on average were very close, though the 750 was more enjoyable and a safer ride.
Brakes are a bit weak as standard, but that's all.
One of the best sportsbikes ever made and i have owned 12 different GSXR's from slingshots up to 1000k6.
