Just a great package

Light weight, gutsy 750cc motor, lowered seat height on mine a bonus, excellent handling even on stock settings, great brakes, love the sound it makes, a true sports bike that's rewarding to ride, fun!
Expecting photos in the mail for the second time in less than a year, a threat to any rider's licence
One of the best of the marque as far as I can gather.

the best all round bike you'll get for the money

versatile - ok for commute and also lethal on the track, noise, simple bodywork, cheap and plentiful used spares, just the right amount of power - good set of tyres and you can get on the gas earlier and harder than the thous and pass them, handling, beautiful gearbox, reliability, headlights pretty good, riding position not exactly a goldwing but easier to live with than more modern sportsbikes,
very soft front forks - softest on any bike ive ever ridden, brakes fade badly on track - master cylinder is the problem, closed to open throttle can be jerky around town, styling may be ageing now but thats a matter of opinion - i could do without the old school long exhaust - a stubby looks better but messes with the fueling and is too loud for some track days, gsxr's very much a belly button bike - everyones got one
owned a fair few sportsbikes incuding a k5 1000 and k6 750 and i actually prefer this to all of them. I need a bike that's practical enough to get my 6'2" frame to work and also mental enough for trackday thrills, a bike that is ultra reliable, wont cost an arm and a leg to put right if i low side on track, isnt a buzzy 600 . . . This is the only bike available in the price bracket that ticks all the boxes. Im on my second k4 and theres nothing out there i could replace it with that wouldnt make me miss it, except maybe a new L1 750 with brembos and bpf forks, but then that costs twice the price and if i crashed on track it would be the end of my world!

Good fun but no cigar!

Decent size unlike the more recent 750's. You can actually thrash it on public roads and survive. Most of my riding is on twisty B roads and its just about ideal. A 1000 would be a complete waste.
Standard suspension and general finish is rubbish. Brakes are num as standard.
Suzuki could have made a real cracker if they had only spent some money on the finish and the suspension. I've had mind professionally set up with WP spring and cartridge kit up front and WP race shock. While much better it's still vague on the limit. It's not a 1000 killer like some think - just a 600 with more torque. Cheep and cheerful.

LOVELY - SENSIBLE AND EXCITING!

Best handling bike I've had. Suspension is road friendly but still firm enough to be sporty. Rear end raised by a couple of mm makes so much difference to the quickness of the steering (but does make the bars waggle a bit more easily - just part of the fun!)
Engine is almost enough and nicely raw (character I think they call it!)
About as comfortable as a sportsbike can expect to be.
Looks a bit plain next to the K6/7 models. Being the only 750 sportsbike the engine might be lacking a bit of competative development, it doesn't feel 100cc bigger than my old 636B1H.
Brakes now excellent but took a bit of 'bedding in' from new.
Very easy to use, quick or slow. Fast and lovely handling. If it's possible to use both words in the same sentance, its sensible AND exciting!
