The last, and some say the best of the original 'Blades' to be designed by the master Tadeo Baba.

Everything on the Blade is just so 'right'. From the blue and white colour to its aggressive stance. The riding position is perfect for my 6' 3" frame from blasting along A and B roads to cruising on the motorway. The power delivery feels completely flat with no peaks or troughs. It even has storage for a lock, waterproof top and possibly a sandwich under the pillion seat.
This is a tough one for me as the Blade is my dream bike. However, the fueling is a little snatchy below 3000rpm which makes smooth town riding a little annoying. Nothing that a Power Commander would sort out.
The Blade is full of Honda specific cliches. From it's riding position to it's build quality and finish. Everything about the bike is just 'right'. For me I think it is going to be a future classic, but then I am heavily biased.

The last comfy superbike capable of holding it's own against newer 1000ccs and touring all day long too!

Smooth motor
Brakes
Mileage when touring
Looks
Feedback from suspension on road
Unintimidating with steering damper
Light
Mileage when trashing
Lively without steering damper (but who hasn't one)
Snappy FI at low RPM (never a real bother, it just something you notice sometimes at sluggish speeds)
Generator cover hits first thing even with some crashpads in case of tipover
Paint on it starting to show age (8 yr old bike with kind of thin paint on tail and nose)
I am proud to call a yellow/blue 954 mine for 6 months now and it's just a blast. If you are looking for a comfy powerful but very compact bike that can handle anything you throw at it on paved road, look no further. Done 1200km in a day on it, ready to ride the next day. Loves the occasion trashing just care over bumpy surface as front end is lively. Push as much weight forward as possible even with a steering damper. Stiffer suspension setting than factory value is adviseable even for road only use. The nose with twin high beam projectors, the sharp tail, the VERY compact form, that swingarm, everything about this bike is just too beautiful. Handling is even better than looks. The bike is so light and handling is so responsive it literarly thought steering on the road. It doesn't excel at anything but it does anything I throw at it in a way that makes me smile every time. I think the thing i like most about it how unintimidating it is with a fitted steering damper. There is never an oops! moment on it.

A real everyday reliable superbike allowing average riders safely stay with faster newer bikes twice its value

Seen 299Km/h (185mph) on the tacho, 2nd gear can be used @ WOT without projecting the front wheel skywards, power after 4k rpm is constant and predictable. Brakes are perfect. Steering is psychic it knows where you want to go before you and allows mid corner line adjustments without a fuss, for a 1.75m 80kg person the ergonomics are perfect. All in all a very well evolved and put together bike capable of blistering speeds and long tours all day long with reliability to match.
Lively front end set of by the slightest bump n ripple resolved only by a good suspicion set up "AND" a steering damper. Makes all sorts of strange sounds from clicking, vibrating to knocking all of which come and go like the wind, 1st gear is too long and 50Km/h (30mp/h) in second is uncomfortable and lumpy'n'bumpy. Whist sitting in traffic can get a little hot on your rear. Standard screen and back-box (exhaust) need to be swapped for aftermarket jobbies. When fitted with Metzler sport-tech tires do not use in the wet !!!
Personally this bike covers everything I want from a superbike and more, I would recommend this bike !

If you ever think this bike is too slow for you, you should be on a race track!!

1) Immaculate finish, even after 8 years
2) Fast
3) Iconic
4) Great to look at
5) So smooth
Can't honestly think of one thing. Maybe my wrists ache a little bit after a long run, but that would happen after any ride on any sportsbike.
Had my bike for 2 years now, and can't imagine summer without it!!
