The blade is a lot of bike for what you pay.

Great build quality and ultra reliable if maintained well. Easy to ride and decievingly fast, you may get a shock how fast these things go.
Good feedback on handling side but watch for square tyres , If you buy one stick new rubber on it if it looks like any sign of a straightliner riding it !!
lots of gadgets and can be a bugger to fix, let honda service it is my motto...its easier....no boot space unlike my old 929rry.
just buy it !! easy to ride fast and a bike that communicates back, R1 and z10 beater in ride hands, dont believe what the press say...This bike is a gem to ride and shifts like any of the other 1 ltr missiles.

Brilliant, fun ride

Corners well,,, down down and further down and hasn't gone away yet. Excellent fun bike, loony on the track too
Had the bike 2 months used it most days even in the horrible rain we have had with pilot road 3`s on and haven't found any yet.
Probably the best bike I have owned

A complete package, one that flatters any rider and allows them to extend their riding to new parameters.

Usual Honda - competent, complete and integrated machine, which achieves stunning performance levels without demanding excess input from the rider. Also the first Japanese bike since the RC45 to look as good as an Italian marque!
Perhaps because of the integrated package, it can feel a little bland by comparison to some other 1000s, until you look down at the speedo and realise just how fast you are going.
The best Honda 1000? Certainly the best second hand value at the moment. Treat yourself, you'll not be disappointed.

EXTREMELY COMPETENT, A BIT TO CLINICAL

Wicked Handling when stock, but if you spend some time getting the suspension set up you won’t believe what you can get away with, my tyres go through hell they are always chewed to buggery, Brakes are very strong too.
Very strong flat power delivery. Usual Honda finish, and in my opinion the best looking thou of the bunch, and you can even tour on it!
To me the bike is a bit bland and see through in nature, almost clinical.
It’s on the heavy side but who cares about a few kgs.
It’s to accomplished for its own good. This would explain the clinical nature of the bike; don’t let this fact put you off though it will not disappoint.
Weak bottom end.
Just buy one you will not regret the decision. 10 out of 10

AN ABSOLUTE BEAUT!

Engine, chassis, brakes... the lot!
Er...
I bought a low mileage (10 000kms / 6000miles) Black/Silver 2004 model after not having ridden for 5 years - and what a pleasure it has been. It is such a mind-blowingly competent machine, it even gives me pleasure just seeing it gleaming in may garage when I get back from the office. (It's strictly for sunny week-ends - we have plently of those in Cape Town!!)

I recently test-rode a new 2008 GSRX750, and although I thoroughly enjoyed the ride - geting back onto the 'blade and feeling the strength of the mid-range and feeling the quality of the build - even 4 yrs on - made me appreciate what a fantastic bike this is.
