Benelli Novecento TRE Tornado

Our Review

Reviewed: by Visordown
I was genuinely surprised just how good the Tornado was. The chassis is easily on par, if not better, than the Japanese litre-bikes and feels less nervous. Now a lot of this feeling is probably attributable to the snooker table flat track surface and we will have to see how ...  Continue reading

Wonderful machine.

Quick enough for real world road riding, great handling and stunning looks.

And it makes a spine-chilling noise...awesome.

If buying second hand, make sure it has the revised clutch basket and z25 gear, otherwise solid enough.

Fuel consumption is heavy but worth it.

Riding position is very comfortable for a sports bike, with loads of leg room for taller riders. Downside is a high seat height, which when compounded by limited steering lock can make low speed maneuvering tricky.

Very few around to be prepared for many questions wherever you go.

excellent forum at Benelliforum.com (just remember that like all forums, you get a lot more people asking for help with problems than you do when everthing is A1.

Great expertise from Russ at Bennetts motorcycles in Barnsley (no afiliation with them, just excellent back-up)

Need to know

Excellent chassis, easy to turn and looks that will stop you in your tracks

Feels underpowered compared to inline fours, reliability is an issue.
