Reminds me of an old girlfriend, quiet and unassuming until you open her up.. then hang on!

Sedate enough around the towns and villages, with the ability for supersonic thrills when opportunity knocks. Great comfort for two-up touring with decent enough range. The looks may be too dated for some, but for those of us who were in our 20's when these machines were built appreciate the relevance.. Girl's trying to prove they were as wild as blokes, Guns N Roses and the ZZR1100 could life have been any better??
Not many.. dodgy fuel gauge.. maybe looks slightly dated compared to modern anorexic thou's but loud exhausts, loud colours and high speed.. whats not to like?
I bought this having had a VTR100-F and a YZF-R1, definitely the best of the three..

i have recently aquired a zzr1100 and to tell you the truth it is mind bending how stupidly fast she is GREAT

needs a little time to get used too. once you are brave enough. bloody fast and can still whip the butt of all those trick 600s and will still turn heads even standing still
feels like brakes need to be better and my opinion it should have been shaft drive
i am pleased to be the owner of a zzr1100 i was going to buy a bandit 12 or an xjr but i got the better deal

Awesome Sport Tourer

Awesome power at a reasonable MPG. Good weather protection. Plenty of room for riding two up plus luggage.
Not very comfortable if you are over six ft tall. Heavy to move about in the garage. Don't like being stood up for any length of time.
However, this is one awesome bike, even at 10yrs old as mine is, it still turns heads, still leaves many a sports bike scrabbling around in the dirt, still has me grinning from ear to ear when I open the throttle. Its that good a bike that after stupidly letting it stand for over a year, I am spending over a Grand having the head rebuilt, brakes overhauled, chain and sprockets replaced, carbs ultrasonically cleaned and a right good service just to finish it off.Once its done, I plan to keep it for a good few years yet. BUY ONE you will not be dissapointed

ZZR1100D6, totes amazeballs.

ENGINE< ENGINE< ENGINE,Comfort, price, insurance, parts easy to get, looks good, oh and did I say about that engine??Looks like its doing 200mph, at a standstill.Handles well for such a HEAVY bike.
Finish quality is a bit wanting.Lacquer on wheel is soft.Frameparts get old quickly.HEAVY weight.Fuel consumption if rode quickly.Brakes deteriorate quickly.Forks lose damping.Hard rear end.Tyres can be worn out quickly.
Love my ZZR.would I change it, yes if I could not lose 50KGS from its weight, but then only for its younger brother, the ZZR1400.
