Kawasaki Z1000SX (2011)

Our Review

Whatever the reason, sales of high performance sports bikes are in freefall so Kawasaki have fought back by building an all rounder that they believe ticks boxes in two sectors. The marketing people tell me the ‘S’ stands for for special ...  Continue reading

Hold on, this gets four stars because of a screen that you can adjust, and a sore arse?

Tdm 900, fz1 fazer, bandit 1200, cbf1000. Some a bit more some a bit less. Although the new kawasaki does fill a niche that loads have been searching for - light, sporty, practical, fast and (to my eye) great looking. Though i still don't know if a fully fitted out 2008 fz1 would be the better buy and that's the decision I'm trying to make.

Tiger 1050, Speedtriple, depending on whether you want panniers etc.

Better value for money and better residule, with super after sales support, with comfort.

i would not trade my 2004 Z 1000 for the new one.  the 03-06 ZED is much better looking. same peek HP.  i have a lot of seat time on the new Zed. yes it has bonkers more mid range power.   it is not a bad bike
