Smooth beating heart of a Puma, sure footedness of a Tiger and the roar of a Lion - more cats than an Apple!

Looks great, feels great, sounds great. Sorry I am totally Hooked. Comfort both round town and down the autobahn - takes on country lanes and mountain climbs with ease. Responsive engine from start to kick in of vtec "overdrive". A balanced ride even with the huge carry capacity for long touring 3 box plus tankbags, and luggage looks cool too! Parked up at London's ACE Cafe people come to look in amazement. On the twisty hairpins of the Dolomites she sounds like a roaring Lion.
Safe as houses, ABS as standard and dual linked braking - I have used in earnest on German autobahns - Life saver!

It is not a perfect world. She is costly beast on maintenance especially if you use the highly trained Honda technicians and the 16k service is £800.
The Throttle bodies ensure you feather clutch a lot at take off, but only at sub 10mph.
I guess same with most bikes the screen is there for looks rather than function - so for ideal use uprated screen has to be added to give full benefits of fast riding and touring too.
The horn is a beep.
Now I am searching for the cons - where are they?

This is my second VFR, confidence is the bike you ride is the key - will I ever find another truely as great as this.
Did I say I have my 1st one, 2004 model in the garage - yours for £2k!

I am in Love

It looks great and feels great. Every time I stop somewhere people of all ages stop to admire it. Bags of acceleration when you want it, but easy to handle in heavy traffic. Even with full luggage and passenger it handles like a dream.

Seat a little high for me but there again I am only 5ft 4in so its one of the few bikes I can reach the floor on without stretching. Find the wind noise a bit annoying even with touring screen.

A fantastic all round bike. I have used it often in London traffic and its great for filtering and I have toured on it with no problems. So many times I just ride with a bg silly grin on my face because it gives me so much pleasure. Even after doing 450 miles in a day I just want to carry on riding. It has a lovely grunt at around 4000 revs when you open it up. When I was looking for a new bike I did my research and the VFR came up as the best and they were not wrong.

Power and pull when you want it, comfort and fuel efficiency when you want it.

VTec allows you to be fast, nifty, and get kicks whenever you want, all you gotta do it get the revs up with a twist of the throttle (like on any bike) and you're there. When you're just jamming about or making high miles on the motorway, it allows for amazing fuel consumption (I've had over 220 miles from a tank before) without feeling like a dull bike.

On top of this, its comfortable (even for a 6'7" guy), fun, and heck is it bloody sexy

Too awesome, too sexy. After a few hours my bum and lower back start getting sore, but this tends to happen if you're 6'7", 100kg and riding a bike non-stop

Buy one. Now.

The best all round bike you can buy, every day use on real roads there is nothing better.

Good riding position for touring and commuting, easy to read dash with all the information you could need, temp - time fuel - duel trip meter, mph to kph at the touch of a button. good fuel range too for touring and good stretch for your pillions legs to the pegs.
I have done a track day at cadwell on my last vfr and was not out of place with many SPORTS bikes being left behind, Not mant people are good enough to be better than this bike on track.
This is my second vfr v-tec and yes I think they are fantastic which is why I bought my present bike ( 08 pre registered hrc bike)

bit heavy on track days but still better than most track day riders.
service is not cheap but which bike is cheep to service these days.

Jack of all trades and master of none, very true but comes very close. My second vtec in 3 years and I can not see myself with anything else in the present market.
