HUGE FUN IN ITS ELEMENT! BEWARE FAULTY SIDESTAND SWITCH.
Incredible off-road. Light. Fast. Huge fun and a hoot to ride. Brings a smile to your face each and every ride.
Poor range (around 70 miles to reserve if ridden enthusiastically). Don't expect the brakes to stop you quickly on the road! Vibes will numb hands (no balancer shaft unlike 1200GS). Sidestand switch can fail causing poor starting, rough idling and random cutting out of the engine at speed (most inconvenient cornering at 70mph ....).
If you're after a big trailie stripped down to the minimum, this is it. In its element it is a fantastic bike. Just watch out for sidestand switch failure which can cause the engine to cut-out randomly at high speed.
