Feels like old bike but without the flaws
Does everything it's supposed to and can be exciting too
Rear indicators leak if commuting in heavy rain and when you blow the bulbs the are not a standard size and you have to order them, neat bit of black insulating tape easily fixes this minor flaw. The rearsets which support the pillion footpegs have a bit of movement in them
If you have ridden the older model it will instantly feel like home but without all those little niggles. The seat is comfy the bars feel less cramped you can see things in the mirrors the fuel injection is much smoother the whole bike just feels more together than the older one. And now instead of a face that only a mother could love it could get a piece at anybody's door.

I went to get a 40 years of Z Tee shirt came out with a new ER6N
Changes direction like a house fly. Brakes are pretty good comfortable and economical. Fantastic feed back from the road.
Engine is also good. Mirrors that allow you to see things behind you
None. If I was being very critical the rear shock is a little underdamped.
I have also got a 2011 ZX10 that I love with a passion. If I had to choose to keep only one bike it would be the ER6. As a town bike it is just perfect. Ok with a pillion, Most of all just a fun bike to ride.

One of the best all-round middle weights, regardless of its 'budget bike' status
Torquey engine. Great wheelies in 2nd through 3rd gear. Practical, reasonably economical (when not riding like a looney). Good riding position.
Rear shock still a bit under damped.... chatters on hard braking into corners. Rear brake not so much feedback
A great Bike for everyday use. Still fun enough to enjoy riding. Top speed OK, handling OK, Braking OK.... It does everything OK and nothing badly.
At the price level it is hard to beat
