Our Review

Reviewed: by Visordown
WHEN WE TESTED the naked ER-6n a few months ago it proved a real surprise. On paper the parallel twin motor, wilfully odd looks and curious paint combinations seemed unpromising. But, basic though it was, the ER-6n's feisty character charmed everyone who rode it. Kawasaki obviously decided to adhere to ...  Continue reading

I've had my 2007 ER-6F for almost four years and about 18,000 miles. I initially bought it for commuting but it's such a great all-rounder that it will do just about anything apart from going off-road. Nothin Continue reading...

I'm not sure if you've got yourself an ER-6F or you just fancy one but if you're thinking of buying one go for it, you won't regret it.  You can see from my comments elsewhere on Visordown that I've had a 2007 ER-6F for nearly four problem free years and I love it to bits.  Others riders report trouble with the voltage regulator corroding and falling off and damaging the wiring loom but that hasn't happened to me (so far) despite riding in everything except snow and ice.  It may be because my bike has a rear hugger, something I'd definitely recommend along with a taller windscreen, mirror extenders and heated grips.

Hi Dave

Im 6' tall and 200lbs with 34" inseem! Dya think Im gonna be to tall or heavy for this bike? Im not able to test this bike for another month as im away but am trying to shortlist it!!

Did you get the Kwak taller screen and mirror extenders or other? And are the mirror extenders effective now?

Thanks

Steve

Ps. Also have the Suz GSX650F and Kwak Versys on my very short list!

i'm 6'2 and am very comfortable on the er6f. no problems at all. changed from the suzuki 750gsxf. different riding possition. the kawasaki is very comfortable. i did move the pegs to their limits

the suzuki had a better top speed, this one has a lot more low end grunt, better cornering and better braking. feels a lot lighter.

i put an aftermarket air filter, bmc i think? k&n doesn't make one for this bike and i had a mate open the muffler and cut some of the pipes inside. it breathes much better and goes as hard as the gsxf now.  changing the exhaust and  air filter is deffinetily recommended.

overall i love the bike. doesnt corner like some of my mates bikes but is so comfortable, i can ride for hours, they need to stop every twenty minutes to flex their wrists. easiest way is take one for a ride, see what you think
