I'm interested in one of these, it is one of the few bikes I would trade my W650 for. There is one for sale with 36000 kms on it locally for $9500 Aus. I suppose about 6000 pound.

I'm interested to hear that it is not good for pillions though. A lot of my riding  is with my wife on the back.

Great bike if you've got long legs! Thought it was only me who found the bike too top heavy at slow speeds but had the same comment from other owners. Didn't think the build quality was all that good. Every time I used it I found more rusty parts or finishes that had dulled down. Too many visits to the dealer to get stuff replace under warranty, plus the tank would drum at certain fuel levels. Spare parts and accesories really expensive. Loved the suspension and brakes and a great bike for fast long distance trips, but for me useless around town. Funny, I traded mine for a W650 and never regreted doing that.

Triumph Thunderbird is a very smooth and better handling bike! This one is incredibly engineered motorcycle, power is decent and the brakes and suspension is brilliant. I must admit that when I saw it first I fell in love with it. Its a terrific bike and would blow away other competitor bikes out there. Triumph Bikes in India
