Reliability is awesome
Great style machine
Handling is jumpy at times
Needs a lot of chrome tlc
This is a stonkingly good bike. I bought a 2006 model in 2008 with 2,000 miles, and when i sold it I had covered another 10,500 miles, mainly leisure riding and some commuting. It handles everything well, it takes all road conditions in its stride. It is user friendly but the handling was suspect at times; but remember this is no sports bike.
I had some extras like the centre stand, rev counter, bash plate and off road exhausts. The off road exhausts sound lovely and give it that period feel without being too anti social and noisy. Like another writer has said, buy it for what it is a retro cruiser/classic and you will NOT be dissapointed.
Do be prepared to talk to strange old men who come up to you misty eyed and say they had one as a youngster in the 50s or 60s. It is a machine that attracts positive attention by the great british public. It was 100% reliable in 3 years of ownership. I did change the OE tyres to Metzeler Tourances and this did help traction.

Awesome bike, takes you bake to basics.
Handles like a bicycle, sounds great with Arrow exhaust, just makes you smile everytime you ride. Does suprisingly good in the twisties. Looks great. Just takes you back to what a real bike should be, nothing fancy, just the right stuff.
Suspension upgrades are a must for more sporty riding. That's about it.
Makes riding at almost legal speed so much fun. I've had bikes with more then twice the power, and this bike is just as much fun. Great for dirt and gravel roads too. Im 6'1" and could ride it 600km in a day no problem.

Perfect in- and out of town ride with fantastic sound and "look-at-me" factor.
-Stand out from the pack with a unique ride that turns heads
-Aaah, the sound...
-You feel an instant coolness while starting up and heading off
-Nice torque and smooth throughout the gears
-Easy to ride both in town, small roads and on the freeway
-Perfect bike to customize with aftermarket parts
-Comfortable riding position
-Maybe a sixth gear would be nice for the freeway
-The wind at over 130 kph/80 mph can be a littly breezy (but if you want to go over 80 mph you´re breaking the law, aaight!!?) And the girls can´t see you properly either
-All the people looking at your bike in town can be a bit distracting
A smooth bike with awesome sound and coolness. I´ve taken it for a long touring trip, and it did the job perfectly alongside all the GS´es, CBF´es etc. +you also look cool touring.
In town it´s perfect with a wide handlebar and upright riding position. Let the pipes rip open once you´re out of town and you have all the power you need for a smooth ride on country roads and the freeway.

GREAT BIKE,GREAT FUN TO RIDE. GREAT TO OWN.
stunning retro looks, sounds good with loud silencers, nippy in traffic.Reliable engine (no oil leaks).
Engine power,be much more fun with a bit more power.Had to have new engine casings as laquer cracked and came off,so id say finish is a weakness, allso the brakes are quite bad(but iam used to my MV`s Brembo ),but still got quite shocked when i applied these for the first time.
Great to have in the garage, not as a main bike but just a fun bike when the mood takes you.
