A blast from the past

What a sweet little motorcycle, as the owner of several V twins (Victory and Harley 1450) this little motorcycle makes me smile the most, Good fuel economy, takes the curves with ease, will hold the legal speed limit all day long, I have added a centre stand and a small screen to make it complete, They are really good value for money even better if you can find one secondhand.
I find cleaning spoked wheels a bind
I'm glad I bought one, a real pleasure to own

After many many bikes and more than enough miles, I finally understand what the V7 Classic is all about

Torque, unique CHARACTER, predictable handling and quality build components for the 95% percentile of daily year round riding and commuting.
Change the mufflers for the reverse cone Italian ones and the exhaust note is perfect. Expect the bike to change as time goes by, it just gets looser and better after 1000 Km. The bike is not a freeway flyer but around town and on the B Roads, it is a total pleasure to hustle along and enjoy the journey. I have soft bags, adjustable screen and a tail bag which makes it an all round UJM, or rather a UIM. Character and personality make this me happy.
Tires are lazy and noisy. The North America gas canister is useless. Long break in period before the bike comes alive.Oh yeah: the stupid NA mandated decals on the tank, so hard to remove. No centre stand as standard but don't really need it as no chain to mess with.
Thats it. Well maybe 15 more HP with no torque loss please.
Totally cool bike, everyone stops to chat me up about it. The more I ride it the better it gets. Glad I sold my 2011 Tiger and did not buy a Bonnie.
Over the last few years as a year round rider in western Canada, I have owned many bikes, from 150 HP Japanese and Italian road rockets to Super Motos to HD cruisers and now as an official Silver Surfer the MG V7 makes me want to get out and ride at every opportunity. Well, that's it, time to kick tires and light the fires. Rock n Roll will never die.

A Honest real world bike

Just look at this beautiful little bike. It does exactly what it says it does. Its a bike.
It rides like a normal classic motorcycle, its not trying to be anything special its not a sports bike but will put a massive smile on your face every time you show it some twisty roads and it wont kill you if you make a honest mistake unlike some more sporty models out there.
Its not the bike you might choose to ride around the world on but I bet it would still be fun to try.
Its a very easy bike to ride and it goes and stops adequately for a bike of this style.
The suspension is basic, its goes up and down and that's about it. the seat is ok but could be a bit better.
Tank range is a bit small compared to my previous bike a BMW Dakar.
The fuel light is annoying but nothing you can't live with.
It does sound a bit quite but then I just went out and bought a Beautiful Mistral exhaust for it and now it sounds perfect.
Non adjustable levers are annoying but again I went and bought the adjustable ones and its perfectly fine now.
Its does feel a bit buzzy at higher revs but nothing nasty.
Overall this bike is the sort of bike you buy when there is nothing left to prove and you want an honest to god real world motorcycle.
You want to go crazy round the twisties, this bike can do it.
You want to go for a long days ride, this bike can do it.
You want to cruise down to the coffee shop, this bike can do it.
This bike could do anything your mind would ever wish it to do, it really is a jack of all trades type of bike.
Loads of after market parts for it and you can personalize it as much as your wallet will allow.
yeah its got a small tank range but who cares, pull over, fill up and chill out. Its a happy bike that will make you smile.

The sensible model in the V7 range!

Identical to the V7 Cafe except for the seat, handlebars and exhaust position so a bit more comfortable. Around 160 miles before the fuel light reserve warning comes on, but attracts a lot of attention when parked though so breaks take longer! Available in white, black and now red. Black is the best colour IMHO. A small number of useful and styling accessories are available, at a price! An excellent choice for vertically challenged riders and those seeking a less intimidating ride. Excellent handling and braking inspire confidence. The engine is willing and doesn't need to rev it's nuts off.
A bit on the small side and some riders will find the standard riding position a bit cramped; I needed to fit handlebar risers to get a more comfortable position. While the optional MG centre stand is easy to use, it doesn't lift either wheel clear of the ground. This makes it difficult to remove either the front or rear wheel, and there is a danger of the bike slipping off if you put it up on blocks to get clearance. When the fuel warning light comes on it starts counting the number of miles you've done, not how many miles you have left! Very strange and not all that useful.
An honest bike. It looks what it is, a new bike but with old style charm and elegance. The engine has been around forever and produces max power at around a lowly 5,500 rpm so why cane it? If you like this you'll want to take one for a test ride first. Good luck finding a dealer and one with one in stock. They selling out fast.

Might be better if you actually posted a V7 Classic review under that heading, instead of the Stevlio !!!!!
