Ironically the W650 is more of a copy of the original Bonneville than Triumph has managed. The bad point is it has Kawasaki on the tank, which isn’t very retro cool, but on the plus side the W650 feels like a proper retro, looks the part and is actually a ...  Continue reading

A good reliable, all round bike that has a dedicated following and should be acknowledged as a great Kawasaki motorcycle. It's not a Triumph copy, it's much better than that. Continue reading...

I bought one when they first came out and loved it. As I had been away from bikes for about 12 years due to illness and other personal reasons I felt a 650 twin would suit my needs and I wasn't disapointed. The little Kawasaki W650 was a fantastic bike and I kept mine for 3 years. now over 10 years later and several bikes later I still wish I had my W650. I own a 07 Bonneville which I love to bits and having fitted some loud pipes to it it sounds like a Bonnie should but somehow it still doesn't have that old twin feel my W650 had. Maybe if I see a good one up for sale some time I'll get me another one.
