Yamaha XP500 T-Max (2000 - present)

Our Review

Yamaha says: Combining high levels of power and pace with great comfort and handling, the TMAX is the ultimate sports scooter. The sporty engine performance gets you quickly away from the lights, with the handling to ensure you can slice through rush hour. The sturdy but lightweight aluminium chassis, large diameter ...  Continue reading

T Max has been around for 10 years now and I've had 4 of them ,starting with the Mk 1 , 2 mk 2's and now the mk 3. Its a Great Bike easy to Ride and Fast for a big Scooter. Handling will shame a few sports bikes twist and go up to 100mph. Fair sized underseat sore 2 glove boxes though they are not lockable. Its easy to look after though does need TLC over the winter . I use it for work and pleisure and it can tour. The Sport screen pimps it nicely and cuts down buffetting .expect 110 miles to reserve on the MK 3 slightly less on the MK 2. These are Massive on the Continent and in france there is a Race series. As a day in day out bike it takes some beating. I have 4 bikes but if I was only allowed one =it would be the T Max . I know ...........................I may be weird!!!

Hi,

I have a 2009 T-Max, love it but not the buffeting I get from the screen over 100kmph. There must be a solution? If you can help with what to do and where to get another screen it would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Matt

Hi,

I've suffed the curse of buffetting for years and got rid of loads of bikes until finding the cure this year, on my 650 V-Strom.  It's called a MadStad screen bracket, mine was obviously for the V-Strom, but you may be able to adapt it to your bike.  Mine also had a Givi screen.

Good luck, Kind regards, Julian  07553 351 104
