Great commuter that doesn't require full bike kit for the journey to work due to excellent weather protection.

Comfortable all day, good weather protection, store 2 full face helmets under seat, heated grips, ABS good, 70mph + cruising with ease
heavy on fuel when pushed, bit big for nipping in and out of traffic round town.
Great long distance commuter all year round.

Ive gone back to a silverwing scooter due to me not being able to get my leg over (creaking hips)

Comfortable ,easy to ride ,sporty will stay with sports bikes on the twisties, its very economical if your light on the throttle (i`m getting 60-65 mpg thrash it 35-40 plenty of under seat storage.
A bit on the heavy side
Excellent all rounder economical good weather protection and a top speed of 110mph, these scooters are as much fun as any bike and a bit of a surprise to many bikers when your on there tail.

IT DOES THE JOB.

Weather protection, the fact that you can stick 2 helmets under the seat and enough power to allow me to ride the The Netherlands and back without it feeling inadequate.
Front suspension is too soft, tank range.
Truly a case of Ïf you haven't tried one then prepare to be surprised". I was and I really enjoy mine, using it for all sorts. Also the novelty of being able to go shopping on your bike still hasn't worn off!

GOOD ALL ROUND SUPER SCOOT.

I have owned my own since sept. 2002 and it has been used for commuting 100 miles there and back and it has done over 52,000 miles without missing a beat. It has been serviced at the 4,000 mile intervals and the drive belt has been replaced every 16,000 as recommended by Honda. I normally get about 55 - 60 mpg and this is commuting for 45 miles on a duel carriageway (A12). I have also used it to go on motorbike rallies and have used throw overs on the rear seat. to increase the luggage capacity. It has no trouble in maintaining high speed cruising on motorways and is very comfortable for the rider with excellent handling thrown in for good measure, I have tried the braked to their limit to see where they lock and have stopped so quickly that if it had a fuel tank between my legs I would be talking about three octaves higher, They are that good without locking.
The only weakness I have found is that it could do with a bigger fuel tank. If taken well over the national speed limit then the fuel consumption has dropped down to about 45 mpg. My wife does not like the width of the passenger seat and feels uncomfortable on long journeys and prefers the old BSA M21 that we also have.
For me this has been one of the best commuting bikes I have owned. I normally change them after about two years due to the high millage I put on them. I have had this Silverwing for over five years and have found it to have been very reliable and able to do all that I have asked of it. The fact that it is a twist and go Scooter has also been to its advantage when filtering through traffic as well as the low centre of gravity. I have found that tyres generally last at least twice as long on other commuters I have had. I will replace it with the new DN-01 when it eventually arrives May- June 2008 as I have been following the progress of this since I first saw the concept model in 2005.
