I'm as tight as a nits chuff when it comes to spending money but I ride all year round and cannot stand getting wet, the last boots I had were Sidi blackrain very comfortable but they started letting in the wet stuff after about 12 months, so I decided to take some strong pain killers and then go purchase these boots! shop around you'll get them a lot cheaper than list.
I have had these during the last 2 winters and they have NEVER let a drop in (I lied they do if you tuck you strides into them when it's precipitating down, as the water runs straight down your leg into the top of your boots, you only do this once).
So waterproof they are 100%, as far as it goes for comfort, well they are a little stiff but do work in after 6 month or so, the protection is very good as I've had 2 off's right and left hand side, lost both toe sliders but my feet came away unscaithed, which is more than could be said for my hand and ribs. All in all, if you ride in the rain (and snow) these are brilliant, does what it says on the tin.
(they don't come in a tin)
