This is the new Held Adventure rucksack. The first two weeks of its life were spent as a beach bag during a two week holiday in Cuba. The 22litre capacity was more than big enough for beach towels, packed lunches and a bucket and spade - I’m still finding sand now!
Throughout the day-to-day use on my 90 mile hack to work, the rucksack has been brilliant. Its sturdy straps, zips and buckles have all stood up against the elements.
Often overlooked in sack design is the width, placement and thickness of the straps. Held have got this sorted, making it easy to get the thing on and off in a snip. Once on the padded back panel and waist straps mean I can carry heavy camera kit or a weekend supply of beer back from the supermarket in comfort.
The best feature for me is the bag's dimensions, as it doesn’t look massive but there is plenty of room. It has adjustment straps to limit or increase its physical size. The pull out waterproof rain-cover is a nice option and gives me a peace of mind that everything is dry whilst riding in a downpour. The Adventure also has an adjustable internal partitioning so you can use one massive space or two smaller ones.
Hopefully this one will keep me going for long while.
