Ow. My eyes! Schuberth's unsubtle new lid

If you're worried about not being visible enough, then your problems are solved. Kinda.

Schuberth C3 Fluro
Schuberth C3 Fluro

If you've ever been victim to a Sorry Mate I Didn't See You (SMIDSY) incident, then you might be tempted to buy one of these new fluorescent helmets from Schuberth.

The new C3 is a flip-front lid that's allegedly been developed by Schumacher. It weighs 1550g and features two different shell sizes - for all you big 'eads out there.

It's got an RRP of £469.99. But won't guarantee no-one pulls out on you. If you think the price is steep, check out this link: Schuberth C3 specifications to see what's gone into the new Schuberth C3.

At £470 they can keep it!

I would have considered it if it was around half that price

Fair play, it's a lot of money.

But if you think the price is high, check out the specification!

Nothing else in the marketplace comes close to it for clever technology and everyday usability!

Why can't someone make a lid that's as mean as a Simpson, as comfortable as an Arai, and as technologically advanced as a Schuberth?!?!?!

I'd swap my RX7 corsair for one like that!

I had a Schuberth S1 lid when they first came out.  Well worth the money.

I'd have replaced it with another Schuberth if only money permitted!  However, a Shoei Raid II costs half the price, is still a great lid, and Shoei's Whisper Strip Kit makes it just as quiet as my old Schuberth.  Result!

I seriously want one!

I'm even saving up for it - it's on my "Objects of desire" list! And yes, that blinding colour scheme IS a great selling point for me, actually tipping the scales in its favour.

Of course, being the technology gadget freak that I am, the fact that it also comes with a high quality pinlock visor, excellent noise reduction capability, a built in retractable Sun Visor, and, crucially, is exquisitely crafted not quite like any other helmet  - also plays a major role in catching my eye

So, yes, I absolutely want one!

It's my birthday on the last day of this month too....

I freely admit that it costs so much, i've bought cars for less in the past, and they lasted too! Still, I want one. I so want one....(continues drooling inanely for much longer than you might care to think).

I just got a c2 from hein ,reduced to 149
easily the best bit of kit I've ever bought.
Went to Edinburgh in freezing fog couple of
days ago.no way would it have been possible
in my other lids.
Hands were bloody cold though.
No buffeting,warm and quiet
and clear visor
