FINNISH premium motorcycle clothing manufacturer Rukka has announced a new textile suit for women.
Rukka says that the Belle suit is "made for those who demand maximum wearing comfort as well as a body-hugging fit" and is "distinguished by a pleasant fit and soft feel while at the same time offering water and wind protection".
Made entirely of elastic Cordura Stretch, the Belle promises high levels of mobility paired with regular abrasion resistance. It features CE certified Rukka D3O Air protectors for the back and joints.
For protection against the elements, there is a Gore-Tex membrane embedded as a Z-liner. Belle has removable thermal linings for cold days, and zippered vents for hot ones.
The jacket collar has soft neoprene for comfort, as well as magnetic closure. The seat area has Keprotec Antiglide trim for enhanced grip on the motorcycle seat, and on the inside, there is Rukka's AirCushion system.
Storage is provided in the form of two pockets on the trousers and four on the jacket (two each internal and external). As with all Rukka suits, jacket and trousers can be connected by a long zipper.
The Belle jacket is available in sizes 34-46 and is priced at £650, while the trousers come in sizes 34-46 regular, 38-46 short and 36-42 long, with a £480 pricetag. They are covered by a five-year warranty.
The garmets will be available in the UK in May, via Tran-Am Distribution, only in the black colourway. (The Belle's companion suit for men, Basti, will not be stocked in the UK.)
