TWO new pairs of heated gloves have been launched, from accessories manufacturer Weise and heated clothing specialist Keis.
The Weise Montana Element heated gloves have a Thinsulate thermal lining and heated filaments that run around the fingers.
They have a rechargeable internal battery, so don't need to be wired to the bike.
There's a choice of two heat settings, 60°C or 45°C, selected using a button on the cuff.
Weise says their design ‘laminates the glove liner into the fingertips, so there is no stitching and it is highly unlikely to twist or pull free.’
The firm says: 'The 120-gram Thinsulate Supreme thermal lining offers the highest level of insulation available for motorcycle gloves, yet is both thin and light. There's also a chamude overlay panel on the palm for improved grip, 3M Scotchlite piping on the back of the hand for additional night-time visibility and an adjustable storm cuff to prevent rain water running in from the sleeve.'

Keis's new X800 heated gloves come with leads to connect to the bike's battery, with three heat settings controlled by a button on each cuff. They can also be connected to Keis heated waistcoats or jackets, so you don't have to wire garments to the bike's battery separately.
A cigarette lighter-type adaptor is available for a 12-volt power socket. There's also an adapter to fit OptiMate-type charger leads, if you happen to have one already wired to your bike's battery.
Keis says the gloves ‘provide reliable and even heat, whilst still allowing ease of movement and feel’.
The firm describes them as ‘having similar features to traditional winter gloves, with a leather palm, Dintex waterproof/breathable membrane, 100g Thinsulate insulation and hard reinforcement over the knuckles.’
Current draw is approximately two amps.
