New: AGV Corsa Misano

Misano Rossi replica on sale from February

AGV has released a replica of the helmet worn by Valentino Rossi at the 2014 Misano GP.

The Corsa replica has a sky blue background and is adorned with numerous hand prints belonging to the Team Movistar MotoGP mechanics, the paw prints of Valentino's dogs and cat, and lipstick kisses from his mum Stefania and girlfriend Linda.

The fingerprint on the helmet belongs to his friend and designer Aldo Drudi.

On the chin guard are the words: 'Misano, ci dà una mano' which means 'Misano gives us a hand', a famous Italian advertising jingle that has gone on to become a motto for Rossi.

The number 58 on the rear spoiler is a posthumous dedication to his late friend Marco Simoncelli who died at the 2011 GP in Malaysia.

Following his podium finish at Misano, Valentino said: 'Different hands touch my bike every day, hands that work with me, the hands of engineers or of Galbusera; but there are also other hands like those of my mother and my girlfriend, and these spur me on just as much.'

The Italian helmet manufacturer describes the Corsa as a supersport helmet which combines the performance and safety of the Pista GP with improved road-going characteristics.

The Corsa rep is made of fibreglass, aramid and carbon fibre, and comes in four shell sizes. Inner liners are fully removable and washable, as is the nose guard and windproof chin strap protection.

Available from February at £799.99, the Corsa will be available in sizes XS-XXL.
